Live painting is, for me, where the studio meets the stage. Each event becomes a one-time ritual: a blank canvas, a room alive with presence, and the silent alchemy of turning atmosphere into image.

Painting live is, for me, one of the most profound joys of this craft. The energy of the room, the presence of the audience, the air of the occasion — all of it enters the canvas. For many, it is the first time they witness a true painting being born before their eyes: from silence and white linen to a finished work of art. That moment holds something of wonder, something of surprise, and — I like to believe — something of the sacred.
Every live work finds its destiny within the occasion itself. Some are commissioned in advance by the hosts, becoming lasting emblems of the evening. Others are auctioned that same night in service of philanthropic causes. Some are gifted. Some are drawn among the guests as a gesture of gratitude. Every painting carries a story — and a destination — of its own.
A minimum area of 2×2 meters is required, with good natural or directed artificial lighting. No special installations or walls are needed — only a corner of the event that will become the visual heart of the evening. The presence of the artist painting live is, in itself, part of the spectacle.
I arrive 90 minutes in advance to set up, prepare the palette, and calibrate the composition according to the space and the light. During the performance, I work standing, visible, in contact with the guests. The work evolves in real time — each brushstroke happens in front of everyone. No rehearsal. Only the pure act of creation.
The subject is defined in the consultation phase, according to the type of event:
For weddings — the work may be a free creation inspired by love, union, and the energy of the night. Or it may be based on a photograph: of the religious ceremony, of an intimate moment of the couple, or from a previous session. In that case, the image must be sent by email a few hours in advance, so the artist can study it and prepare the composition. It is worth mentioning that in most weddings, this painting is a surprise. It is the family or friends who commission it as a gift to the bride and groom — they do not know that during that night an original work will be born in their honor. The moment they discover it is usually one of the most emotional of the celebration.
For corporate events — the theme can be debated and co-created with the company. The artist studies the concepts, values, and philosophy that govern the organization, and proposes ideas that represent it visually. The resulting work may become part of the company's collection, be presented as a tribute to an outstanding member, or be raffled among the participants of the event.
For charity events — the artist is hired for the performance and the work created during the night may then be auctioned, donated to an institution, or raffled among the participants — becoming an additional asset for the cause.
The work is delivered rolled in a signature tube — a decorated cylindrical case, designed to protect and transport the piece. For the newlyweds who travel, for the executive flying back home, this format is the perfect solution: light, elegant, and completely safe in airplane cabin luggage. The tube itself becomes a keepsake object.
Each work includes a hand-signed certificate with: title, date and place of creation, dimensions, technique, name of the event, and personalized dedication. This document is the passport of the work — its history from the first instant of existence.
